Myer's Bagels, home of VT's only hand-rolled, wood-fired Montreal style bagel is looking for a motivated, energetic, experienced person to join our team. For the qualified person, we are looking for a Kitchen/Café Manager to assist our Chef in general operations of the café and bakery.
¨Preference for candidates who have prior Kitchen and/or Restaurant Management experience. Ability in early morning hours also a plus.
¨Kitchen/dining room management, short-order experience is also preferred and experience in the baking industry is a plus. Reliable transportation and/or ability to get to work consistently required. Candidates must also be available during school breaks and holidays during the year.¨¨
Duties include, but not limited to:¨¨
Up-beat, friendly customer service to all customers¨
Sandwich and salad prep, light cooking, baking, coffee preparation¨
Practice of general food handling safety¨
Working with knives, small machinery, and hot stove/oven¨
General clean-up, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dishes¨
Hot and cold work environment¨
Working on feet, moving continuously, lifting heavy objects (30-50lbs)¨¨
