Associate Technician, Shipping and Inventory Control

Job Description
The Associate Technician, Shipping and Inventory Control is responsible for all aspects of finished goods shipping, raw material receiving, finished goods and raw material inventory, and other operations in support of the manufacturing laboratory while maintaining compliance with Prolytix’s standard operating and quality control procedures. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
Pick, package and ship all packages accurately and completely.
Prepare all necessary aliquots and labels prior to packaging.
Packaging all items using the appropriate means of refrigeration as described on the product data sheet.
Ensure that all data sheets accurately reflect the products shipped including aliquot size, number of aliquots and expiration date (if applicable).
To monitor, update and correctly deduct/add products to the inventory database.
Order shipping supplies to maintain appropriate stock volumes.
Conduct routine inventory of raw materials to ensure stocks are accurate.
Verify the accuracy of the finished goods inventory versus database on a monthly basis.
Report discrepancies in inventory to supervisor for resolution.
Receiving incoming raw materials and supplies for storage.
Maintain inventory control system of raw materials and supplies.
Safely handle biohazardous material and maintain good laboratory records.
Assist with the execution of routine manufacturing of the collection tubes department
Other jobs as assigned by managers.
Qualifications
The Associate Technician, Shipping and Inventory Control is an entry level position.
A high school diploma is required; B.S. degree in Life Sciences with 0-2 years experience is preferred.
Strong basic math skills with emphasis on data entry, conversions, and common scientific calculations.
Read and understand technical documents
Strong command of English language.
Good problem solving and reasoning ability.
Capable of lifting 50 pounds or less.
