Role Overview
As part of our close-knit Service team, the HVAC Service Sales Account Manager is responsible to support sales for existing Service accounts & for driving sales and developing new customer relationships in the HVAC and mechanical systems industry. This role involves promoting Vermont Mechanical's services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that clients receive top-tier service. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HVAC systems, a proven sales track record, and the ability to cultivate and maintain long-term client partnerships.
Responsibilities
System Assessments: For existing customers, provide HVAC system end of life cycle reports with budgetary information for replacements in future fiscal years.
Drive Sales Growth: Pursue and secure new customer service opportunities to meet revenue goals across specific market segments and geographic areas.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with Vermont Mechanical’s services.
Value Proposition Communication: Clearly articulate the benefits of Vermont Mechanical's services to prospective clients, aligning the company’s offerings with client needs.
Proposal Preparation: Develop accurate and comprehensive customer proposals, including estimates for materials, equipment, and labor.
Sales Negotiation: Engage in detailed pre-sale communication to ensure scopes of work are relevant and meaningful; negotiate contracts and service agreements effectively.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies.
Presentation Delivery: Prepare and deliver presentations to customers and internal staff, showcasing Vermont Mechanical’s capabilities and services.
Sales Reporting: Report sales metrics to the Service Department Manager and collaborate with Finance to ensure alignment with company goals.
Customer Satisfaction: Address customer concerns promptly, implementing corrective actions when necessary to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of three years of sales experience in the HVAC/Plumbing industry, with a focus on commercial HVAC system installations.
Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and proficiency in service software and Microsoft Office programs.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Travel: Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites in Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Some repetitive motion required (e.g., keyboard use).
Ability to navigate active construction sites and wear necessary personal protective equipment.
Ability to lift 30 pounds and climb ladders occasionally.
Work environment includes both office and construction site settings.
