Director of Information Technology Vermont College of Fine Arts welcomes applications for the Director of IT. The Director of IT is a leadership and operational managerial position. Responsibilities include:Developing IT strategic initiatives with college leadership that will support the continued growth and transformation of the institution. Oversees planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at VCFA. This includes directing all IT operations to meet staff, student and faculty requirements as well as the support and maintenance of new and existing applications. The IT Director is the strategic partner working collaboratively with all aspects of the college’s operations, to assess and when needed implement new technological solutions. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience; minimum 5-8 years’ experience within Information Technology, preferably in higher education; supervisory experience; experience in the following technologies/products: Enterprise Data Management MSSQL, PowerCampus, Slate, Learning Management Software (LMS), VMWare, Networking, Microsoft Technologies, Apple Technologies, Google Apps for Education; demonstrated aptitude for working on multiple projects; exemplary interpersonal and communication skills; high level organizational skills and capacity for attention to detail; ability to think creatively, entrepreneurially, and strategically as part of a collaborative team setting.
