Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Ashland, Virginia. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing and conducting activities related to the management, collection, and recording of all customer payments. This role also involves maintaining detail-oriented relationships with customers and addressing any discrepancies that may arise.Responsibilities: Oversee and carry out the daily processing and recording of customer payments Conduct credit checks for customers who are new or infrequent Report monthly totals of aging accounts Maintain detail-oriented relationships with customers, resolving any discrepancies that may arise Assist team members and departments with invoice discrepancies and be an active member of the Collections team Encourage team members to meet deadlines for month-end close Keep information confidential, maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations Comply with policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment Oversee the Accounts Receivable team, conducting annual performance reviews Permanent Accounts Receivable Clerks, assigning tasks as needed. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager. Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems. Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions. Demonstrable experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. Experience in Auditing is necessary. Proficiency in executing Billing Functions. Experience with Collections, specifically in a business-to-business (B2B) context. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is desirable. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
