With environmental sustainability and optimization at the forefront of our datacenter design and operations, we continue to grow and evolve as we meet the ever-changing business demands that hold Microsoft as a world-class cloud provider.As a Principal Program Manager, Regional Datacenter Headcount Strategy & Optimization you will be part of the Operational Efficiency Team within Americas (AMER) Data Center (DC) Operations. You will provide leadership and direction in driving regional staffing strategies, lead staffing model optimization and providing strategic support for quarterly and yearly fiscal planning cycles that will support our current and future growth. Support a strategic vision and implementation plan for regional and sub-regional data center operations that will position the organization for future capacity and growth.
Work with all field operations horizonal and vertical leaders to streamline our operations to ensure flawless service delivery to our customers.
Support the development of a workforce optimization program that will improve our service delivery capabilities.
Establish data analytics to evaluate the process change efficiency and effectiveness.
Drive service delivery excellence through benchmarking across industry best practices
Foster an understanding of the various stakeholders, their interests and needs to ensure the teams can sustain and embrace the changes through clear communications, engagement, and appropriate governance throughout the implementation of the various operational excellence programs.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent AND 10+ years experience of mission-critical service management (e.g., providing IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure) for large-scale enterprise organizations
OR 11+ years experience of mission-critical service management (e.g., providing IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure) for large-scale enterprise organizations
OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychologyor equivalent work experience.
Experience supporting strategic workforce and/or capacity planning.
Ability to assess current and future needs to support workforce planning strategies.
Previous experience with forecasting and monitoring output to ensure proper staffing levels.
Experience analyzing workforce trends and projections for an organization.
Experience with organizational design and organizational change implementation.
Project or program management experience and certification(s) (e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen, PMI, etc.).
Experience in creating road maps for large projects to gainefficiencies and experience in delivering to road map capabilities.
Data Center Operations Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,800 - $267,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,800 - $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
