Responsibilities & Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide design and implementation expertise for managing and maintaining systems and software, ensuring all planned and in-place system architectures are aligned with short and long term NSD goals. Support engineering and operations projects involving Storage Area Network (SAN) Storages, planning, and building infrastructure supporting Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans. Analyze current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and provide recommend enhancement solutions, analyze industry, and market trends to identify impact(s) to the enterprise architecture, architecture vision, design, and documentation. Represent the technical team to internal and external agencies, communicate technical needs, opportunities, and constraints to NSD leadership. Lead system design, architecture, and integration recommend use of technology to support system architecture design. Design, and document key system components, interfaces, infrastructure, and communications as required by the Government. May be subject to non-standard work hours. Minimum of 8140/8570 IAT II and Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) required. Required: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity. Must have an active TS/SSBI BA/BS in Engineering or IT related discipline. Demonstrated experience in carrying out systems engineering tasks in many work situations, which includes the insight to recognize domain and role specific practices within the overall context of the systems. Capable of practicing in a broad range of domains including military systems acquisition and development, commercial product engineering, and public infrastructure engineering.
