DescriptionSAIC is seeking a motivated and self-driven Windows Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator to support an essential customer mission area and organization. The position requires someone to work both individually and in a team environment to complete deadline-driven tasks. The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows-based systems and networks, providing technical support to users, and ensuring the security and reliability of the infrastructure.Responsibilities/Functions:

Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based operating systems, servers and applications

Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and network connectivity issues

Implement and manage security protocols and firewalls to protect against cyber threats

Deploy and manage software updates, patches, and antivirus software

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls

Create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures

Provide technical support to end users, which may include HW and SW troubleshooting and resolution

Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement new technologies and solutions

Ability to flex hours as required to support mission needs and emergency response

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Windows system administration/engineering

Minimum of 9 years of overall technical experience

Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance

Proficiency with Microsoft Powershell

Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP

Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V

Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

Industry certifications such as MCSE, MCSA or CompTIA A+ Experience with automation for Windows
