BOOKKEEPER
JOB SUMMARY

We are a solar construction company seeking a professional bookkeeper with substantial construction bookkeeping and accounting experience. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working for a construction firm and be able to handle multiple projects in construction simultaneously.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing monthly bookkeeping tasks with a variety of vendors, subcontractors and client companies.
Prepare journal entries, monthly bank reconciliations and financial statement and job cost reports
In QuickBooks:
Post vendor bills and create client invoices
Prepare journal entries as required
Add/ modify G/L Accounts, Items, Classes
Set -up companies
Implement standard accounting and control procedures to reflect best in construction practices
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must be proficient in QuickBooks
Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Preferred Candidates will have experience working with:
Construction special billing forms
PROCORE construction management software and its interface with QuickBooks
SAP Concur expense report tracking preferred
ADP payroll systems specifically job costing preferred
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential with a strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills
The ability to communicate (both in verbal and written form) with owner, clients, client suppliers, and vendors
Strong Planning, organization and prioritization skills
Must have dependable transportation to/from work
