Greener Things is searching for a cannabis aficionado, who is also skilled in sales, and customer service. We specialize in cannabis / hemp products. We are a small retail business, operating in a similar fashion as a medical marijuana dispensary.

We are currently looking for a part time employee, who can be available for in store shifts as well as occasional offsite events. We have two Charlottesville locations, and may need to schedule you at either one, so versatility and flexibility are paramount requirements. There is full time potential for the right candidate.
Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, hard working, flexible and patient, with a desire to constantly improve. Sales staff must be able to comfortably engage with all types of people. POSITION:
Part-time Cannabis Sales Associate (sales, customer service, cannabis consultant, and and light processing)
DUTIES:
- Provide excellent cannabis product recommendations to customers on a consistent basis.
- Maintain a clean and inviting retail atmosphere.
- Use Point of Sale to process transactions in the store, online, and over the phone.
- Educate certain customers about the potential effects of different varieties, and product types, and how those different effects may benefit each individual.
- Work well in a team setting or independently, to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for co-workers and customers.
- Be responsive to emails, and communication from other staff members.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times while on duty.
- Basic computer skills and light data entry. Must be willing to use apps and share and access certain work related data in Google Drive and Dropbox.
- REPRESENT the Greener Things brand and our values; foster a wellness-for-all culture of respect.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- EXCELLENT interpersonal and customer service skills; the ability to anticipate and meet the needs of customers and colleagues.
- 1+ years of retail, or sales experience.
- Consistency and reliability. Shows up on time, and does not call out for shifts except for emergencies and rare circumstances.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to perform required duties on-time, with minimal supervision. Productive during downtime without being prompted.
- The ability to keep calm under pressure while maintaining a high level of organization, patience, and flexibility.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- The ability to follow directions, but also adapt to changes or unexpected events.
- Perseverance, and a positive attitude while on duty.
- A desire to be a part of a movement, and grow within our organization and industry.
- Experience in the cannabis industry is HIGHLY desirable (see what we did there ;) but not required the passion and dedication to learning is!
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 21 years of age with valid state ID
- Clean criminal record.
