Bluebird Landscapes is a woman-owned boutique garden service in Charlottesville, Virginia. We seek to hire a full-time fine gardener to join our team. We are a cheerful and outdoorsy group, working together in teams to provide fine gardening services to residential clients in and around Charlottesville. Gardening and horticultural experience is a plus for this job, but not required – we are happy to train and develop skills in the right candidate!
The requirements for this job are:
- Strong interest in horticulture, gardening, and working outside
- Ability to work a physical job walking, carrying, lifting and bending all day as we work!

Our specialties include container gardening, dahlia, rose and boxwood care, skilled weeding, watering, and pruning, perennial and annual care, and seasonal plantings and decorations. Each day on the job varies as we visit different clients with unique aesthetic preferences. We do not cut grass, spray chemicals, or do tree work. All tools are provided and all site work is done out of Bluebird trucks.
This is a year-round position, including winter work such as holiday decorations, fine pruning, edging, and mulching. We work Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. This is a set weekly schedule although we provide flexibility and can work with scheduling issues if they arise.

Pay begins at $20-$22 per hour with raises possible as the candidate gets to know our methods and properties, and shows dedication and reliability.
