Data Entry Clerk

Description We are in the process of recruiting a Data Entry Clerk for our established team in the high tech engineering industry. This role is based in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320, United States, and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The position involves maintaining accurate records, processing applications and resolving inquiries in a time-critical environment.Responsibilities Migrate data from our current ERP system with a focus on accuracy and consistency. Enter, update, research, verify, and retrieve data in company systems. Ensure the confidentiality of all data handled. Use Microsoft Excel and Costpoint - Deltek for data entry and customer service tasks. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on the data. Handle customer inquiries and provide prompt responses. Assist in the transition to the Deltek Costpoint ERP system. Maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment. Ensure all customer applications are processed efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in a Data Entry Clerk role within the Hi Tech Engineering industry Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proficiency in using Costpoint - Deltek software Proven customer service skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals Strong attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required Excellent typing skills with high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think critically Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
