Description We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team in Chesterfield, Virginia. This role involves ensuring the smooth running of the front desk operations of our healthcare facility. You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of appointments in both our new and old systems, and handling tasks such as insurance verification and appointment scheduling. This is a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately manage and update appointments in both new and old systems. Conduct insurance verification and record driver's license information for patients. Assist in scheduling patients for appointments, ensuring an organized and efficient process. Collaborate with the rest of the team to facilitate the smooth running of the front desk. Utilize various software systems, including Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dentrix Dental Software, Eaglesoft, and EHR SYSTEM, to carry out duties efficiently. Provide high-quality customer service to all patients. Assist in maintaining accurate patient records and billing functions. Contribute to the clinic's operations by answering inbound calls when needed. Utilize AWS Athena for various tasks, given its relevance and utility in the role. Ensure compliance with clinical trial operations as part of the role's scope. Requirements The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Medical Receptionist. Proficiency in medical software such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dentrix Dental Software, Eaglesoft, and EHR SYSTEM is essential. The candidate must have the ability to promptly answer and accurately route inbound calls. They must be capable of handling billing functions effectively and efficiently. The candidate should be able to interpret and create charts and graphs as part of their duties. Familiarity with clinical trial operations is a significant advantage for this role. Knowledge of AWS Athena, though not a primary requirement, would be beneficial. The candidate must be proficient in insurance verifications, ensuring all patient information is accurate and up-to-date.
