In this role as AMT lead, you will develop and implement a program to move applications more rapidly to the cloud, establish an engagement program for application teams already in the cloud, and work with stakeholders to ensure ongoing assessment of teams during their entire cloud lifecycle. Your team will be responsible for overseeing 20+ application teams already in the cloud and working to shepherd another 100+ from on-premise into the cloud.You’ll work with a high performing team responsible for designing and operating the agencies multi-cloud environment. Our team takes an automation-first approach to cloud management and is looking for someone to ensure application teams arrive in the cloud and are able to effectively use the modern cloud practice.In this role, you will be the face of the agency’s cloud program to stakeholders with a wide variety of cloud expertise. In your role, you will be expected to:
Work across the agency with application teams who are starting their cloud journey to ensure they are receiving appropriate levels of support.
Ensure the program has situational awareness of all applications and their current state in the cloud.
Develop and run cloud maturity assessments of application currently in, and migrating to the cloud
Lead engineering team to assist in migrations
Perform migration assessment and manage migration wage, including developing assessment strategy, consulting with teams and identifying support necessary for migration.
Develop cloud onboarding materials and present to stakeholders and onboarding teams.
Work with federal agency stakeholders to develop solutions that meet the needs of their customers and build out the agencies cloud vision.
Lead architecture discussions with product owners and other cloud team members.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
U. S. Citizen and/or Green Card holder
Ability to secure a Public Trust clearance
3+ years’ AWS, Azure, or GCP experience in a solutions delivery role.
3+ years’ experience with solutions delivery using well-architected cloud frameworks, services, and technologies
10+ years total IT, development, and architecture experience.
Demonstrated experience overseeing the migration of multiple applications to the cloud.
Ability to discuss highly technical cloud concepts and topics to non-technical audiences
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience designing processes around migration and assessments of applications moving to the cloud.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, 8+ years of experience.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
AWS Solutions Architect certification
Cloud application migration experience with a government agency
The likely salary range for this position is $198,900 - $269,100. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
