OverviewGovCIO is currently hiring for a Finance Manager to support our National Security Sector. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA and will be a fully remote position.Responsibilities
Produce timely and accurate financial reporting deliverables including business unit P&L, program trend analysis, variance analysis against budget and prior forecasts and monthly reporting for executive management
Manage the business unit/program quarterly forecast and annual operating budgeting activities
Provide value-add analysis of key program drivers, risks, and opportunities
Make recommendations for process improvement and identify areas needing corrective action to achieve financial goals
Provide data and analysis to support business unit/program operational reviews
Manage the business unit/program month end close process including cost accruals, revenue recognition and expense reviews
Support internal and external audit activities
Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and other corporate back-office departments to facilitate business unit/program operations
QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
8+ years in Finance role (Program Finance, Project Control and/or Financial Planning and Analysis) demonstrating career progression with increased responsibility and scope
Government Contracting experience; Knowledgeable with principles of CAS, FAR and GAAP
Experience developing financial planning and analysis cadence, culture, and standardization
Advanced Excel user including pivot tables, complex formulas, and modeling
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relay complex information concisely
Must be a self-motivated, energetic, critical thinker that is able to work with diverse team
Experience with multiple types of contracts including FFP, T&M and Cost Type
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with Deltek Costpoint accounting system
Working knowledge of TM1 Forecasting software and Cognos Reporting
Experience leading and managing a team of direct reports
Experience managing OCONUS programs (Labor/ODCs)
Active DOD clearance is a plus but not required
