Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector (NGAS) had an opening for a Director 1 of International Growth to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Strategy and Business Development organization. This position will be located in either Falls Church, V A or Melbourne, FL and will be responsible for leading international growth and supporting strategic/priority captures.This Director will report to the Senior Director of International Growth and will be responsible for optimizing a global team supporting the sustained global growth of the Sector. This director performs a complementary function to our overseas business development staff, leading a team providing continuity with the NGAS program and capture staffs who are our key internal customers. This Director will also manage a team of international consultants to advise on global policy and foreign acquisition environments. These duties will include tasking oversight, alignment to strategy, and maximization of value.Additionally, this Director will provide leadership to the NGAS Offset team who are responsible for developing and executing all NGAS offset requirements to promote international growth. Success in this role will require effective partnership across programs, business units, sectors and corporate, as well as engagement with foreign industry at the highest levels.Other responsibilities for this Director include leading the International Review Board and work across our business on Technology Security and Foreign Disclosure efforts. They will serve as the direct liaison to USAF / USN PMAs and other Research, Development, Acquisition and Sustainment organizations. This Director will compile and prioritize international tradeshows and sponsorship opportunities in coordination with other functional partners. The Director will prepare Sector leadership for these engagements by editing, integrating, and consolidating inputs to key artifacts and ensuring leadership engagement at the appropriate level.Essential Functions include:

Manage international sales pipeline, ensuring strict adherence to process.

Manage a global team in building robust and trusted customer relationships based on credibility and mission expertise.

Provide direction to a global team for tasking and execution of staffing functions in support of product development, executive briefings, and customer engagement preparation.

Coordination across the company and with globally dispersed teams to ensure alignment of strategy, and business development and capture activities in focus countries.

Manage International Consultant support including tasking oversight and consultant alignment

Manage strategy development for international industrial participation and satisfaction of offset requirements as appropriate

Sets the staff rhythm for engagements and strategy reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinate foreign delegation visit and briefings with business units

Manage an indirect budget that supports International Consultants, Sponsorships, Conferences, and various global memberships.

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in international business capture within the Aerospace and Defense industry, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in international business capture within the Aerospace and Defense industry

Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the needs of the business

Ability to obtain and maintain a special access program (SAP) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business

Ability to travel internationally as required (minimum 25%)

Proven international business development and/or capture leadership experience within the Aerospace and Defense Industry

Understanding and knowledge of U.S. Government and International acquisition/procurement policies and regulations

Proven driver of the use of business tools for opportunity management and customer resource management

Preferred Qualifications

Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance

Top-tier aeronautics defense contractor Business Development or Program Management experience

Well-versed in the Aerospace and Defense industry, including a deep knowledge of Northrop Grumman’s programs, products, customers, and competitors

Ability to motivate and energize a team to produce a winning solution

Ability to think strategically, and develop/implement creative strategies into winning bids

Must possess strong communication, negotiation, organizational and interpersonal skills

Must be results driven and possess experience working in a collaborative team environment across functional organizations

Salary Range: $164,600 - $286,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
