As a Senior Contracts Administrator, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Senior Contracts Administrator joining our Aviation, Aerospace, Atmospherics & Energy (A3E) sector contracts team. This position will focus on supporting the program in developing proposals, program contract activities, and customer engagement. The ideal individual will be experienced in administering contracts and task orders; have expertise in risk mitigation; have the ability to apply strategic resolutions to address business and programmatic risks; as well as identifying and analyzing complex and strategic contract matters. This position requires a significantly agile mindset, clear communication style with contractual knowledge and strong business and customer acumen.HOW A SENIOR CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Ensures internal contractual compliance with relevant terms and conditions and compliance with designated management objectives and company policies/procedures

Negotiates contracts, including price, terms, and conditions, and reviews subsequent contractual documents for legal sufficiency prior to execution

Serves as point of contact with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems

Reviews requests for proposals and participates in proposal color reviews

Reviews and approves solicited and unsolicited proposals for submission to customers

Reviews and negotiates various types of agreements

Interprets contractual work requirements and obligations

Makes recommendations regarding contracts implementation

Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices

Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education and Experience : Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience in US Federal contracts administration. In lieu of degree, 9+ years of related experience in US Federal contracts administration required.

Required Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as, advanced analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation abilities. Experienced with various contract types (including subcontracts to Primes, IDIQ, CPFF, GSA, and T&M). Advanced Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and customer agency supplements. Ability to operate and negotiate independently.

Preferred Technical Skills : Experience with Oracle or ERP systems knowledge

Preferred Skills and Abilities: FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) knowledge

Location: This is a hybrid position. Ability to work at either GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA or Herndon, VA and remote
