Maintenance Level III - E/IDescription:Journeyman 3 Electrician / Instrumentation Technician - $40.83Physical Location :Franklin Fluff Mill34040 Union Camp DriveFranklin, Virginia 23851757-569-4321Shift:Day Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm12 Hour Rotating Shift – 7:00am – 7:00pm or 7:00pm – 7:00amPay Rate:$40.83Position Scope:This is a journeyman-level electrical and instrument (EI) person responsible to complete scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance and break-in EI work along with performing many other duties both as part of a team and independently. Duties include, but are not limited to, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining 480v thru 2300v motor controls, 13.8kv electrical systems, relay logic, PLC systems, DCS and a variety of field instruments, analytical equipment and final control elements.Position Requirements:

Must havetwo (2)of the following:

Four (4) or more years of electrician apprenticeship

Electrical degree certified from accredited college or trade school

Two (2) or more years of industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation maintenance experience

Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent

Must be 18 years or older

Eligible for employment in the US

Basic computer skills

Participate in four-week New Hire Integration(NHI) in a classroom setting

Successful completion of 125 Day Probationary Period

Must be willing to work any shift and fill in for shift vacancies periodically

Preferred Qualifications:

Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification.

Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis

Respond to emergencies during off hours and weekends

Strong math/physics understanding

Position Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, repair AC and DC drive systems as well as stand-alone process drives of various manufacturers

Troubleshoot, configure, maintain DCS systems

Install, troubleshoot, maintain 480v and 2300v motors including induction, synchronous, wound rotor, permanent magnet and DC

Installation, calibration, troubleshooting various manufacturers of analog and SMART instruments and analytical equipment

Install, troubleshoot, maintain motor controls including electronic motor protection relays, sizing overloads and starter maintenance of various manufacturers

Shop and field repair of final control elements such as pneumatic valves, electric valves, solenoid operated valves, calibration of pneumatic and SMART valve positioners

Install, troubleshoot, maintain various electrical components such as mechanical limit, proximity, photo electric, speed and reflective switches

Install, program, troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems including associated communication such as DH+, mod-bus, Ethernet

Read, interpret and red line wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, P&ID’s and loop sheets

Understand and follow NFPA70E regulations involving Arc Flash and Shock hazards

Communicate with operators while troubleshooting electrical and instrument controls

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on routine and extended annual outages

Maintain shops, load centers, DCS work areas to a 5S standard

Mill Operations – You must be able to:

Personally exhibit safety as a core value and effectively communicate a shared vision for safety

Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment

Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment

Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule

Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification

Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis

Respond to emergencies during off hours and weekends

Wear required safety equipment and PPE

Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, and heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection).

Continue to develop skills to become a multi-skill technician
