The successful candidate will join the Maintenance Directorate to support the Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering Contract (CMOE) located at NASA Langley Research Center. This position reports directly to the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) Manager. All work will be performed with a high standard of quality and professionalism. All safety policies and procedures must be followed.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced operations center supervisor to oversee our 24/7 staffed Integrated Operations Center (IOC). The primary function of the IOC is to act as the first line of defense for facility maintenance issues, and to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of building systems across a large complex of 80+ buildings. This includes monitoring and controlling the building automation system (BAS), managing utilities, and conducting after-hours visual inspections. The Supervisor will lead a team of operators, ensuring timely response to alarms, efficient communication, maintaining high safety standards, representing the IOC program to the customer, all while adhering to established procedures.Shop Supervisor responsibilities include:

Assignment, supervision, and evaluation of IOC team performance, work completion, required trainings, and 24/7 coverage of operations.

Monitor and control the building automation system (BAS) to optimize building performance and energy efficiency.

Manage utility consumption and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Manage after-hours visual inspections of critical building systems and infrastructure.

Manage response to alarms and emergencies, ensuring appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure safety.

Maintain accurate records of events, incidents, and system performance.

Manage work order completion and timeliness.

Identify opportunities to continue to grow the IOC program.

QualificationsU.S. Citizenship required. Three (3) to five (5) years related technical experience, or two (2) to three (3) years of related engineering experience, and a working knowledge of HVAC and Building Automation Systems. Have demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively as a supervisor in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in using Microsoft Office applications is required.Functional Skills:

Strong knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), HVAC, and other building systems. (Trane controls experience preferred)

Work order management - CMMS experience preferred

Experience with utility management and energy efficiency. Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or ability to obtain CEM within 1 year

Maintenance and reliability best practices including the work management process

General Skills:

Team building and management experience

Good written, oral communication and interpersonal skills

Must be self-motivated and have great attention to detail

Strong trouble shooting skills

Ability to learn and work independently

Ability to work with others involved in a variety of functions including operators, craftsmen/maintenance personnel of various disciplines, management, and other leaders
