Description We are offering a role in the healthcare industry located in Hampton, Virginia. This role revolves around Medical Billing, Claims, and Collections and is a short-term contract employment opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for filing claims with patients' insurance companies after they have received treatment. Responsibilities: File claims with patients' insurance companies post-treatment. Utilize the online medical billing system for efficient claims processing. Follow up with patients on all denials so the claim can be resubmitted. Ensure proficiency in Excel to maintain and update billing records. Leverage skills in Accurint and EHR SYSTEM for effective claim administration. Perform billing functions and manage collection processes efficiently. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and correspondence. Collaborate with team members to ensure all billing operations are performed accurately. Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and team members. Continuously improve the billing process by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions. Requirements Proficient in using Accurint and EHR SYSTEM for various tasks Demonstrable experience in Medical Billing, Claims, and Collection Processes Competence in Claim Administration and Billing Functions Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Healthcare/NHS industry Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management and report generation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Must possess high ethical standards and integrity in detail oriented dealings Demonstrable knowledge of industry standards and best practices in Medical Billing and Collections Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
