Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks an Associate Cyber Systems Administrator to maintain and troubleshoot computer systems using COTS and Northrop Grumman developed tools located at the Distributed Training Center (DTC) at Langley AFB, VA. The Cyber System Administrator will operate and maintain systems at the DTC by following all appropriate procedures to ensure the DTC Missions are successful in supporting the warfighter. The Distributed Mission Operations Network (DMON) and DTC computer systems will be used to support distributed simulation efforts, and must undergo physical build and assembly, burn in, configuration and reoccurring audits. This position will require the incumbent to also support fielded equipment at other sites. General duties will include operating system and software configuration, system imaging and networking, documentation, and some general engineering efforts. The incumbent will be an active participant in improving defined processes, and developing and documenting new processes and procedures while monitoring multiple training sites' systems during Distributed Mission Training (DMT) events as the need arises. Primary responsibilities: • Monitoring, controlling and isolating problems in a data communications network, the DMON. • Activates/deactivates local DTC computer systems with Computer Generated Forces (CGF) systems and battle-monitors according to established ACC-DTC schedules dictated by the Combat Air Forces (CAF) customer's training requirements. Provides first and/or second-level problem determination and provide needed support. • Configure and support video teleconferencing between network participants as well as provide and support remote data storage capabilities. • Respond to questions from callers: remotely assist users with event scheduling and termination. • Record problems, develop trouble tickets, support System Problem Report analysis, and support LAN and DMON WAN system tests. • Other duties as assigned by NG DMON personnel and ACC-DTC staff. - Active Secret Security Clearance
- Candidates must be DOD 8570 compliant Security+/CISSP within 6 months of hire date
- Willingness to work occasional shift work
- STEM Degree
- Top Secret Clearance
- Experience with Windows OS, DIS/HLA Protocol
- Familiarity with networking equipment
- Customer relations experience
- Recent Military experience
