Description We are inviting applications for the position of a Fixed Assets/ Inventory Specialist based in Hampton, VA. The role involves managing and maintaining records of fixed assets and inventory in compliance with the applicable policies and procedures. The job function aligns with the industry's best practices and requires a meticulous approach to work.Responsibilities Oversee the maintenance of fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules on accounting software, ensuring accurate recording of new acquisitions and disposals. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and perform reconciliations to investigate and rectify any discrepancies. Collaborate with various departments for procurement, receipt, tracking, movement, disposal, and inventory control of assets. Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and provide assistance during audit inquiries. Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure all invoices for fixed assets receive appropriate approval. Oversee the tagging of untagged furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) on campus and update FFE records regularly. Ensure compliance with all policies related to fixed assets management. Manage travel arrangements and logistics for the team as needed, ensuring compliance with company policies. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.Requirements Possess a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role as a Fixed Assets/Inventory Specialist Demonstrated proficiency in arranging, coordinating, and handling travel arrangements Experience in travel expense management and travel authorizations Proficient in managing travel logistics and scheduling travel Strong knowledge of compliance within the travel and inventory management sector Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other related software Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
