Cybersecurity Engineer I, plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and

availability of our clients' networks and information assets. This position requires a high level of

accuracy, professionalism, and technical proficiency within in the engineering department. This

role requires a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and methodologies to protect

job requires a person who remains professional, organized, detail and task oriented, as well as

precise, thorough, and collaborative.Responsibilities:Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential security weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.Assist in the design, implementation, and configuration of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, encryption tools, and access controls.Ensure that security measures are effectively integrated into the architecture and operation of IT systems.Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate security breaches, malware infections, and other cyber incidents.Conduct digital forensics analysis to determine the root cause of incidents and recommend remediation measures to prevent recurrence.Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with applicable security frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.Provide cybersecurity awareness training to employees and end users to promote good security practices and mitigate human-related risks.Create educational materials and resources to support ongoing security awareness initiatives.Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified.
