Senior DevOps Engineer Location: McLean, VA/ Remote Duration: 6 months with possible contract to hire

Description:Technical Must Haves: Must haves include Open shift or Kubernetes, CICD experience. Hyperion is a big plus, but not required.

Our Impact:- Our team provides DevOps, Integration and CI/CD support to critical finance applications.- We are responsible for supporting a mix of homegrown, COTS and SAS applications.- We are leaders in our area for build, deploy, test and validation automation for microservice based applications, monolithic code-based applications along with COTS and SAS applications.

Your Impact:- Provide best in class support to our business, development and testing teams.- Architect and build leading edge automation.- Find creative ways to automate, enhance and improve the overall supportability, availability and reliability of the applications within our area.- Troubleshoot complex issues with limited guidance and apply appropriate resolutions- Provide hands on support to initiative teams that are utilizing Agile methodology and the Atlassian Suite of tools.- Be comfortable supporting modern and legacy applications- Provide expertise and guidance to project teams on infrastructure related topics.- Identify environment requirements to meet project development and testing needs.- Provide subject-matter-expert advice to the project team for the various platforms used forthe software development lifecycle.

Qualifications:- 5+ years of progressive IT experience.- 5+ years of applications support experience with COTS and homegrown applications- 5+ years of experience managing environment, builds, code deployments.- 5+ years of providing in-depth troubleshooting and analysis if technology issues.- 3-4 years of CI/CD support.- 4+ Groovy- 4+ Ansible- 4+ Jenkins- 4+ OpenShift and/or Kubernetes- 3+ years of Web logic or apache/Tomcat experience- 2+ years of Jenkins & Atlassian- 2+ years with one or more of the following: Maven, Python, a Technology company, DB2- Experience with Hyperion a plus

Initiative Support:- Work with development teams to understand build and code deployment needs and provide SME support.- Develop application build and deployment scripts.- Provide support for day to day application build, deployment of code (Java and /or ETL), and Data models on lower environments. Provide associated implementation documentation for controlled environments, including production.- Troubleshoot complex issues with limited guidance- Build-out, setup and configuration of new and/or existing environments.- Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions

Modern Delivery:- Provide hands on support to initiative teams that are utilizing Agile methodology and the Atlassian Suite of tools.- Provide expertise and guidance to project teams on infrastructure related topics.- Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems while working under limited supervision- Identify environment requirements to meet project development and testing needs.- Provide subject-matter-expert advice to the project team for the various platforms used for the software development lifecycle.- Coordinate with and provide guidance to developers on their development environments

Operations and Technology:- Provide input into best-in-case ideas, technologies and process- Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable.- Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization.- Support critical production issues as they arise.
