Senior AWS Cloud Engineer/Developer (Hybrid, 2 days/week onsite in Tysons Corner, VA) McLean, VA Job Type: Consultant Compensation: $35 to $55.00/hour (pay is commensurate with experience) Job Description: Our client is seeking a strong AWS Cloud Engineer/Developer right now to assist them in building out their cloud-based software platform that manages credit risk for lenders in the Financial/Banking and Single/Multi-Family mortgage loans industries. Our client is working with several clients and need a solid resource with outstanding AWS Cloud Engineering expertise to assist them in handling various client engagements and working to ensure quality service delivery from a cloud / AWS engineering perspective.This person will interface with internal and external stakeholders (within mortgage loan firms) to ensure that product needs and service deliverables are met in a timely/effectivefashion. Duties/Responsibilities:- This role is solely focused on Cloud Engineering and Computing in an AWS environment, so this person will be a key player assisting in developing sound cloud solutions to meet/exceed client/customer deliverables
- Will be responsible for working with AWS CloudFormation Tools and other related AWS Technologies and DevOps & CI/CD tools
- Will need to work with Code Coverage tools like fortify and ideally needing someone who has the ability to work with CI/CD Integration tools and build tools like Maven, Gradle, Ant, AWS Redshift, Jenkins
- 10+ years of professional experience in IT, with most recent experience being mostly AWS Cloud and DevOps focused.
- Someone with experience working with AWS CFTs (aka CloudFormation Tools) and other related technologies in the past.
- Provisioning and management on AWS with CloudFormation.
- Create templates for the service or application architectures the stakeholders are needingand someone who has had experience using AWS CloudFormation to use those templates for quick and reliable provisioning of the services or applications (called "stacks)
- Hands on experience with all these AWS Core technologies
- DevOps experience, CI/CD, experience working with Jenkins, Docker and building pipelines
- Experience in using Selenium for testing Experience using APIs for developing or programming
- Experience with version control tools like SVN and Git Experience developing solutions on the AWS developer tools and platform using services such as RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway(s)EC2,SDK, EB, CLI, Code Commit, Lambda and/or Lambda Step Functions, Cloudwatch, CloudFrontCodeBuild, CodeStar, CodeDeployor CodePipeline
- Experience with Docker and Experience with ECS
- Test Automation experience in Seleniumand/or Cucumber
- AWS Solutions Architect Certification
- Heavy background/understanding of DevOps and someone who's worked in a role where they were working on CI/CD related items in AWS specifically
- Experience working both as a Cloud Engineer and as a DevOps Professional, hand-in-hand
- Someone with the ability to code/program and/or script in languages like: Python, SQL, Java, SAS, etc.
- Any experience with: EKS, Fargate, EMR ESB
- Experience withBuild tools like Gradle/Maven/Ant Experience with AWS Redshift, Jenkins
- Experience with Cucumber is preferred
