Bookkeeper

Description We are in the construction industry, situated in Norfolk, Massachusetts, and are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper. The role involves overseeing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring efficient financial operations within our team.Responsibilities: Conduct account reconciliation to maintain accurate records. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate payment and receipt of funds. Perform data entry tasks to keep financial records updated and accurate. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reports. Handle payroll processing to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time. Oversee bookkeeping duties to maintain accurate financial records. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial information. Resolve customer inquiries related to financial matters in a timely and detail oriented manner. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Assist in the maintenance of customer credit records. Requirements Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role within the construction/contractor industry Proficiency in account reconciliation and data entry tasks Knowledge and experience in handling accounts payable and receivable Familiarity with bank reconciliations Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for maintaining and analyzing financial records Experience in managing payroll in compliance with legal requirements Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing financial tasks Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge in bookkeeping and related software.
