Description:Our client is an employee-owned engineering firm who is currently hiring a Water/Wastewater Operations Manager to oversee their municipal projects in the southeast region! This individual will typically have the remote hybrid schedule of 60% remote office work and 40% site visits/travel (non-local travel expected once a month). Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

We are looking for an operations manager to oversee our day to day operations with our field staff, communication with our clients in regards to project deadlines, personnel management, and fleet management.

This person will be responsible for overseeing up to six projects at a time. Projects are heavily in the southeast region (VA, NC, and FL), travel will be required approximately once a month to these project locations.

60% office/40% field (once a month travel to project locations within southeast region, travel can up to 3-4 days, when not traveling, position is remote or less for meetings or need to go in Norfolk office for supplies, etc.)

Growing and developing client relationships with a primary focus on the municipal water, wastewater and water resources market.

Responsible for profitable operations and expanding current revenue and meeting revenue growth goals.

Marketing and business development should focus on building client relationships that result in winning new project work from existing and new clients.

This individual will manage project team members and other production staff members as needed within the region.

Top Skills & Qualifications:

3-8+ years of experience within water/wastewater, wet water, water engineering, stormwater management, etc.

PE (Professional Engineer) License is preferred, but not required

Operational management experience (communicating with clients on project deadlines, managing field staff, fleet management, etc.)

Experience with SSES, flow monitoring, SWPPP, NASSCO, etc.
