Programming & Setup

Program CNC machines using G-code and CAD/CAM software

Create toolpaths, select tooling, set work offsets, and verify programs prior to running

Develop efficient machining strategies for titanium, aluminum, plastics, and steel

Optimize feeds/speeds, reduce cycle time, and improve tool life

Machining & Operation

Set up and operate HAAS VF-3 and Robodrill vertical machining centers

Perform first-article and in-process inspections

Maintain consistent quality across production runs

Troubleshoot machining issues related to workholding, tools, or program errors

Maintenance & Reliability

Conduct PM cycles on the machines, including lubrication, calibration checks, and mechanical inspections

Maintain machine cleanliness and overall operating condition

Assist in identifying and replacing worn or faulty components

Technical Support & Collaboration

Work with engineering on manufacturability improvements

Support fixture design and continuous improvement efforts

Participate in tooling evaluations and process enhancements

Qualifications:

Required

Proven experience programming and operating HAAS and/or Fanuc Robodrill CNC vertical mills

Strong knowledge of G-code, CNC control interfaces, and CAM software

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

Understanding of machining practices for titanium, aluminum, steel, and plastics

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues independently

Preferred

Experience with high-precision parts and tight tolerances

Understanding of GD&T

Familiarity with tool presetters, indicators, micrometers, and other inspection equipment

Experience with fixture design or basic CAD
