Description:The client is seeking an IT Project Manager II to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities that include project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting. IT Project Mangers are responsible for managing the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation and testing in accordance with project objectives. The Project Manager in this role will plan and implement primarily infrastructure-related projects, although other non-infrastructure projects could also be assigned.Job Responsibilities:Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope.Partner closely with other members of cross functional teams to define requirements and dependencies.Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and processes as well as governance and compliance requirements.Execute the project plan for infrastructure projects including decommissioning of software assets, technical upgrades, tool retirements etc.Identify, manage and escalate (as appropriate) risks and issues that impact the project.Identify, develop and report on metrics to provide leadership updates for project statusEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.Preferred: PMP or PMI certification.2-4 years relevant experience.Proven project management experience with infrastructure experienceExceptional communication skillsDemonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities (PM will be managing multiple infrastructure related projects at a time)Proven ability to learn enterprise processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organizationStrong ability to assess risk and apply project management principles to guide decisions and actions
