Junior Associate - Management/Organizational Transformation

DescriptionICF is seeking a multidisciplinary management consultant professional to support a large variety of organizational transformation projects to include helping Federal clients identify business areas for improvement, develop strategies, and execute business initiatives. This position will ideally be located in the Washington DC area to attend in-person meetings occasionally but has the ability to work remotely a majority of the time. The ideal candidate will have an interest in project management/coordination, process improvement, change management, technology implementation, training, and organizational and strategic development. The individual needs to be a self-starter who has the initiative to research topics and solve problems with limited oversight. They will work with a team to:

Review current organizational structures and processes and recommend enhancements, improvements, and efficiencies based on research and guidance of in-house Subject Matter Experts.

Support technology implementation, including gathering requirements and developing and delivering just in time training materials.

Draft project and communications plans to clearly articulate ICF’s approach for achieving contract objectives.

Conduct interviews and collect thorough and accurate data to draft Standard Operating Procedures for existing processes.

Design project management tools customized to the client’s needs that allow for the ability to track milestones, budget, and resources.

Conceptualize, coordinate, and prepare client-ready products that meet both company and client standards and needs.

Support the design, development, implementation, and revision of project plans and adhere to established timelines while delivering quality work products.

Work with team members to identify problems and conduct root cause analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

1 year of experience in project management or change management principles, methodologies, and tools

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Public Policy, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, Business, Communications, or IT preferred

Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills to include experience with developing, editing, prooing, and delivering presentations and marketing materials

Familiarity with continuous improvement and project management approaches, tools, and phases

Interest in helping clients solve problems, ideally with a human centered design approach

Analytical skills and the ability to provide insight into project progress

Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easily understandable written format

Demonstrated client relationship skills working in a dynamic client environment

Strong computer skills with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)

Familiarity with IT project management frameworks such as Agile

Strong time management skills to balance multiple ongoing projects

Interest in obtaining related certifications to include Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or Prosci Change Management
