Join our dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of safety standards across various industries.We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Application Development Scientist to lead our product development and customer support initiatives within the Tyvek® Personal Protection business. This role requires a forward-thinking individual who can understand market and customer needs while translating them into actionable technical and product requirements. The successful candidate will also play a pivotal role in positioning our products in emerging applications to support business growth and defend our existing market share.The role will encompass both regional and global responsibilities, requiring flexibility for occasional travel to support initiatives across different markets.Your Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Take charge as the project leader for new product development initiatives, fostering teamwork and guiding cross-functional teams to drive success.

Market and Customer Insights: Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs and preferences, translating findings into technical specifications and product requirements that stimulate business growth.

Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to customer-facing teams, partnering with them to address inquiries and offer innovative solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.

Value Proposition Development: Develop comprehensive technical documents and value propositions that effectively communicate our products’ benefits, bolstering customer understanding and engagement.

Promotional Material Development: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design engaging promotional documents and marketing materials that emphasize our product advantages and support sales initiatives.

Industry Representation: Represent Tyvek® Personal Protection in industry standards and working groups, contributing to the development of safety guidelines and product standards that underpin our market leadership.

Conference Participation: Actively participate in relevant conferences and trade shows, collaborating with other functions to showcase our innovations and strengthen our industry presence.

Digital Dexterity and Innovation Frameworks: Demonstrate proficiency in leveraging technology and AI to drive results, integrating digital tools into daily operations. Proven competency in project management methodologies, stage gate processes, lean tools, or other innovation frameworks is essential to excel in this role.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Material, Mechanical engineering, or chemistry

Proven experience within the personal protective equipment industry.

Strong comprehension of market dynamics and customer-focused solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead projects and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
