The successful candidate will develop skills to prepare themselves for potential advancement at Dominion Energy.Specific job functions may include, but are not limited to the following activities:
Proficient computer operation to input data, check inventory, make inventory changes, communicate via email, training, etc.
Operate forklift to load/unload vehicles, move material, etc.
Must have the ability to work in inclement weather; heat /snow /rain.
Use basic hand and power tools as required.
Handle and carry material weighing up to 75 pounds for up to 20 feet.
Receiving/inspecting incoming material to verify quantity & condition.
Read and comprehend basic shipping manifests, packing lists, loading schedules, etc.
Conduct inventory counts.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience2+ years of material/inventory and/or warehouse experience.Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications.
Ability to work an 8-hour workday schedule from 7:00a to 3:30p.
Must work scheduled and emergency overtime as business needs dictate.
Forklift operation experience - maintain forklift operator certificate administered by Dominion.
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
Computer related skills.
Knowledge of material handling and warehouse operations.
Must be able to work well with others in a safe atmosphere and work environment.
Must be able to travel in the event of catastrophic event.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years warehouse experience.
Experience working with electric related materials preferred but not required (i.e. transformers, circuit breakers, capacitors, etc).
2+ years forklift operations experience (preferrable operating large capacity forklifts, 12k operation or greater).
Experience working with handheld scanning devices preferred.
Experience working with electric order pickers preferred but not required.
SAP or related software experience
