Caregiver - Midlothian
We are seeking an attentive and trustworthy female caregiver to provide care for our adult daughter with intellectual disabilities.
To succeed as a caregiver you should be patient, empathetic, and have strong people skills. You should be observant and committed to making our daughter feel safe and comfortable.
Caregiver Responsibilities:
Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating. Following a prescribed healthcare plan, which may include assisting with exercise and administering medication. You may also be expected to assist with some light housework. Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks. Transporting or escorting the client to medical and other appointments. Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
Caregiver Requirements:
2-3 yrs experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Current CPR certification. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license with a registered vehicle that is insured. Ability to pass a background check. Current first aid certification. Ability to read and speak English. Proven ability to behave with respect and compassion. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. A professional and friendly attitude. A willingness to work flexible hours, which may include night shifts.
