Position Title & Overview:
We are currently seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to provide services in long-term care facilities. This person serves as the main resource for routine daily blood draws and same-day STAT calls. In this role, you will perform skilled and compassionate specimen collections for facility residents while professionally representing our company and will assist with entering clinical cases into our software tracking system.
Work Schedule
Typical hours include:
o Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (routine daily blood draws & data entry, there is some flexibility here)
o Monday–Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. (STAT calls when available)
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Perform blood collections via venipuncture, primarily for an elderly population
Assist with entering cases into proprietary Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Provide exceptional customer service to residents and facility staff
Complete required administrative and clerical documentation accurately and timely
Travel to several long-term care facilities within approximately 20–25 minutes of Chester, VA
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program or prior professional phlebotomy experience
Possess basic typing and computer skills
Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance
