Maintenance Technician with HVAC Experience

The Electrician/HVAC Technician, under the direction of the supervisor, performs any combination of following tasks to install, troubleshoot and repair electrical and HVAC systems.
Specific Responsibilities:
Serve as certified electrician to fulfill facility based responsibilities for new and existing locations
Experience with HVAC troubleshooting performing repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment
Monitors and inspects electrical and heating and cooling systems
Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
Installation of basic components and wiring
Correctly diagnose HVAC equipment issues "fix it right the first time"
Create accurate material list and provide all information to assist in procuring material
Additional cross-functional duties as assigned
Essential Job Requirements:
Mobility sufficient to enter and exit confined spaces, climb and descend ladders in a safe manner, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Dexterity sufficient to operate manual and power tools, light and heavy-duty equipment and other equipment utilized in the course of work.
Ability to lift and move heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Endurance sufficient to maintain efficiency on the job and stand as necessary for extended periods of time.
Required Qualifications:
Previous electrical experience with knowledge of HVAC principles, practices, methods, tools and equipment
3-4 years of specific facilities based installation and maintenance experience
Experience with basic tools, digital voltmeter, and other Measurement and Testing equipment
Track record of on-time, under-budget project performance
Ability to work under pressure and under strict deadlines
Strong ability to communicate effectively
Valid Virginia Driver's License and excellent driving record
Availability and willingness to work extended hours, and respond to urgent matters as needed "on-call"
