Job Summary The Technical Lead provides hands-on technical oversight and expertise to the DC IT Operations team. This role serves as the primary escalation point for all DC IT Operations escalations and reports to the DC IT Operations Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Work closely with the DC IT Operations staff in overseeing the development, integration, maintenance, and operation of IT infrastructure systems and services.

Coordinate with Service Delivery Team to ensure timely deployment of new racks.

Lead DC IT Operations team members and assist with anticipating problems, events and incident management, and change management.

Assist with IT infrastructure guidelines, policies, configuration standards and best practices.

Review policy and procedure and ensure all IT systems and services remain in compliance with ISO and SOC policies.

Ensure Data Center is meeting all internal OLA’s and external SLA’s.

Create and maintain technical documentation, SOP’s/MOP’s, and provide training/coaching to other technicians.

Act as the technical point of contact between DC IT Operations and all related technical teams.

Participate in DC IT incident escalation, supporting our data centers in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Identify and notify stakeholders of issues as needed and escalate issues as required.

Minimum Requirements

Associates/Technical degree in Information Technology or a related field or equivalent industry experience.

5+ years of experience as a Data Center Technician or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of Data Center environment (network, electrical, air-flow, air filtration, cooling, site security procedures, etc.)

Extensive knowledge of hardware (components) of dedicated servers, troubleshooting, and hands-on repair.

Linux and Windows operating system proficiency.

Solid understanding of data center networking, switching, and routing, including troubleshooting and configuration of servers and network devices.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high attention to detail.

Ability to work any shift in a 24X7 Operation, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and Linux+ or equivalent knowledge

CCNA or equivalent knowledge

Linux RHCSA/SCA/LPIC/LFCS or equivalent knowledge

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
