We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and patient individual (preferably between 50–65 years old) to provide companionship and basic care for our mother, who lives at home and has dementia.
Details:
Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 5-7 days a week (schedule can be discussed)
Location: Downtown Winchester
Pay: $15 per hour
Responsibilities include:
Offering companionship and supervision throughout the day while watching TV together.
Helping with bathing, brushing teeth, washing face, and combing hair.
Offering regular bathroom reminders to prevent accidents and bathroom assistance when required.
Providing balanced meat-free meals and snacks throughout the day, and monitoring water intake to avoid dehydration.
Mobility assistance: Support safe walking around the house, assisting out of bed or out of chair when needed, encouraging light movement or stretching.
Requirements:
Compassionate and patient personality
Experience caring for someone with dementia is a plus, but not required
Reliable and trustworthy
Must be punctual and consistent with routine and schedule
