As the Assistant Deli Manager you’ll play a key role in supporting the Deli Manager with day-to-day operations while also leading food preparation and kitchen flow.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in overseeing daily deli operations, including food prep, service, inventory, and merchandising
Prepare hot case items, sandwiches, soups, and salads
Support scheduling, training, and supervising deli staff to maintain a productive and positive work environment
Monitor food rotation and labeling to maintain freshness and meet health department requirements
Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
Uphold cleanliness and organization in all food prep and service areas
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a deli, restaurant, or food service management/lead role
Strong cooking and food preparation skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work with and lead a diverse team
Great customer service and communication skills
Able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods
