As a healthcare shuttle driver at CHCC, you will safely and reliably transport residents to medical appointments, therapies and community outings. You’ll help residents enter and exit the vehicle, secure mobility devices and offer friendly, respectful support throughout each trip.

Responsibilities:

Operate CHCC vehicles in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.

Assist residents as they board and exit the vehicle; secure wheelchairs and mobility devices.

Follow assigned routes and schedules.

Complete daily vehicle inspections and keep the interior clean.

Maintain accurate logs and required reports.

Communicate clearly with residents, staff and supervisors while promoting a positive experience.

Report accidents, emergencies or other unusual situations related to equipment and/or passengers.

Follow facility policies, safety procedures and resident rights guidelines.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least five years of driving experience; must be at least 21 years old.

Valid Washington driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Knowledge of traffic laws and safety rules applicable to the transportation of passengers.

Must be able to work day and evening shifts as needed.

Reliable attendance.

Support CHCC’s mission.

Skills:

Able to safely operate a vehicle and wheelchair lift/secure residents and mobility equipment.

Able to read maps and learn service-area routes.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Calm, courteous approach when assisting residents with varying needs and abilities.

Able to work well with residents, families and staff.

Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Hours: Approximately 25 hours per week, primarily 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Must be available for other shifts as needed, including occasional holidays.

Wages: $18 to $24.23 per hour, depending on experience.
