Assistant Manager (30-40 Hours/Week)

This position pays a range of $22-26/Hour depending on experience and length of service.

We are a Bellingham based apartment management company seeking the right person to join our team as an Assistant Manager. Experience in the industry is desirable but not required, we are willing to train the right person. This position includes apartment leasing and tours (sales), customer service in person and on the phone, and generating professional correspondence and reports. Additionally, this position will coordinate the preparation of vacant apartments for new tenants between staff and vendors.

We are seeking candidates that are good at self-managing their time, interacting with customers and vendors, and who thrive in a busy environment.

Office hours are 9AM – 5PM Monday through Friday, 12-4 on Saturdays, and scheduling will be based around these hours. Occasionally work outside these hours may be required. Additionally, this position may occasionally need to answer emergency calls after hours.

Job Duties

This position will involve advertising/marketing, giving tours and renting apartments. Sales or marketing experience is desirable.

The successful applicant will be in a customer facing position, answering phones and taking care of people who come to the office in person. Strong customer service skills are essential.

This position is responsible for records management, payment processing, data entry, and related tasks. We primarily use Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are very important. Administrative experience is desirable.

This position is responsible for enforcing all rules posted and in the rental agreement.

This position will organize the turnover of vacant apartments, coordinating workers who conduct inspections, repairs, and cleaning.

Regularly inspect the property, looking for needed repairs and evaluating curb appeal.

Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Able to pass a background check.

Must be able to climb stairs in order to give tours and complete tenant move in procedure.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Able to communicate with customers in person and on the phone.

Able to work during open office hours.

Must be reliable, punctual, and have a good work ethic.

Overtime is sometimes necessary.

Must follow all company’s policies and procedures.
