Description Robert Half is urgently seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. Based out of the Federal Way, Washington area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening. In this dynamic department, there is an opportunity for career growth and quick advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.What you get to do every day
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Fullfill full-cycle A/P
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Vendor Contracts experience
Oracle experience preferred
Purchase Orders experience
Great attention to detail
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
