Serving our customers is our first priority, and every day we honor this mission with quality, partnership, and energetic global vision.JOB SUMMARYThe Shipping Clerk will process and track product shipments in partnership with internal and external customers.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSPerform administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of finished goodsCommunicate and coordinate with transportation companies.Handle routine questions and problems and maintains open communication with other departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle.Log order information into the computer and files and distributes paperwork as necessary.Package and prepare products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges.Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped.Review customer ordersOther duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience:High School diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredMinimum: less than 1 year of related experiencePreferred: 1 - 2 years of related experienceCompetencies:Knowledge:Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.Technical Skills:Enterprise resource planning (ERP) softwareLabel making softwareMaterials requirements planning logistics and supply chain softwareElectronic mail softwareNon-technical Skills:Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.Abilities:Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (
