Title/ Billing Clerk

The Title/Billing Clerk for vehicle sales processes car deals. He/she verifies costs, including the costs of reconditioning and equipment add-ons for the accounting department and prepares legal transfer documents for the DOL.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Prepare tax and title documents in a timely manner.

2. Submit all legal transfer documents to the DOL in a timely manner.

3. Receive and process paperwork from the F&I department.

4. Prepare lien payoff checks for trade-ins in a timely manner.

5. Payoff new vehicle flooring principal balances according to bank flooring agreement.

6. Post vehicle sales and purchases including auction sales and purchases.

7. Input inventory control information.

8. Prepare various reports for internal use as directed.

9. Prepare Dealer Trade paperwork.

10. Maintain and clean vehicle and other schedules related to job duties.

11. Research outstanding vehicle related receivables and assist in collection and reporting as necessary.

12. Process F&I product cancellation paperwork, including refunds due.

13. Register extended service policy and other F&I product contracts.

14. Prepare trade-in vehicle jackets.

15. Ensure that name and address files are updated on an ongoing basis.

16. Scan vehicle deal files and subsequent deal documents into DSDA archiving system, and file original deal

jackets.

17. File documents in a timely and organized manner.

18. Perform work in conformance with all legal requirements regarding titles and other legal documents.

19. Conform to the company’s policies on non-discrimination and harassment, and work in a cooperative and

positive manner with all personnel.

20. Maintain professional demeanor while on job.

21. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Ability to read and comprehend instruction and information.

2. Ability to type at least 50 wpm.

3. One year of general office experience.

4. Automotive accounting experience preferred.
