Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Medical Equipment Cleaner position. The Equipment Cleaner cleans and refurbishes various types of medical equipment in an efficient, accurate manner. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform functional testing on various types of medical equipment

Re-certify medical equipment to CMS and accreditation body standards

Document that cleaned equipment meeds accreditation body standards in TIMS Equipment Tracking System (ETS) Notes

Bag serviced medical equipment for shipping and place Clean, Test, Bag, Tag (CTBT) tag on equipment showing it is ready for patient use

Research maintenance records in TIMS ETS

Communicate with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management regarding the servicing of equipment

Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary

Qualifications

Electronic technician degree or prior experience as a medical repair technician

Possess the ability to repair, maintain, clean, and package various types of medical equipment

Possess strong mechanical skills

Ability to lift equipment from floor to work bench weighing up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis

Work in an environment with fumes, odors, dust, gas, and poor ventilation

Complete tasks and solve problems independently with little supervision
