Description Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a permanent opportunity. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. You will lend your skills to developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This intricate position is involved in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Your responsibilities

Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

Participate in various department-wide initiatives

The salary range for this position is $65k to $80k. BENEFITS INFO: Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with 3% match and 15days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 10 paid holidays per calendar year.Requirements - Experience with ERP systems

Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

Competent with spreadsheets and databases

Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

Recent and relevant accounting experience

High attention to detail

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Proven knowledge of Post Journal Entries

Financial reporting experience

Solid understanding of Analyze Financial Statements

Practical knowledge of general ledger

Well-founded grasp of Posting Journal Entries

General familiarity with Prepare Journal Entries

Financial statement preparation experience highly desired

Expertise in Consolidated Financial Statements

Quality experience with account reconciliation

Earlier work involving bank reconciliations

Financial Statement experience preferred

Wide ranging experience with Bank Account Reconciliation

Ability to meet deadlines
