The Data Analyst oversees helping maximize the value of big data. Our client s high-performing team implements advanced analytical techniques such as machine learning and artificial intelligence and more to define their information strategy, enable mission-critical insights, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness for massive computing endeavors.Responsibilities:

  • Working with the customer to gather and validate modeling business rules and assumptions, collecting and analyzing data, building data models, developing forecasts, trends, applying Machine Learning algorithms, and performing QC on models
  • Working with analytic tools including R, SAS, Python, and Power BI to build analytic models that provide real-time insights into data, decision-making, and workload complexity
  • Analysis of financial data - leveraging large data sets to identify where there could be audit risks (e.g. invoice review, contract review, Interagency Agreements, etc.)
  • Data mining across various system data sets to identify patterns, trends, and tripwires that may indicate financial issues
  • Coordinating with data and business stakeholders to research identified issues if tripwires are breached
  • Leading data quality and management workstream for a large systems integration project
  • Leading and facilitating workshops with functional and technical resources
  • Collaborating with functional and technical resources to identify solutions to problems
  • Management of large datasets using SQL
  • Analysis of large datasets using Power BI platforms
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar quantitative discipline
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience applying advanced analytic techniques, forecasting, and machine learning to complex data sets
  • Experience with analytic tools including R, SAS, and Power BI and languages including Python
  • Lead development of complex analytical solutions applying statistical, econometric, and operations research techniques
Preferred Skills:
  • Analyzing large and complex data sets, with strong aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Working with Cloud technology to digest Big Data Functions
  • Selecting and applying the appropriate analytical techniques to increase organizational efficiency
  • Contributing as a team member: understanding personal and team roles, contributing to a positive working environment by building strong, collaborative relationships with team members
  • Identifying and addressing client needs, building relationships with clients, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks, communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor
  • Communicating effectively to various audiences, including various levels of management and external clients, in a professional environment
  • Collaborating and working in a team environment
