Xbox Studios Quality is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with a growth mindset to help steer quality efforts across multiple feature areas of Microsoft Casual Games. In this role you will be accountable for partnering with feature teams in day-to-day efforts, including the planning and execution of a modern and innovative quality strategy. You will interact with multidisciplinary leads to help shape the quality of the product by developing creative and collaborative solutions. Additionally, you will leverage your experience to increase team efficiency and to influence our culture of quality with process and technology improvements.As a member of Xbox Studios Quality, you will also be a part of a larger community of Quality Analysts, Engineers, Leads, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists. Make choices and tradeoffs around day-to-day team execution and reactionary work, balancing against investments in efficiency and the future. Monitor, summarize, and effectively communicate the quality of the product, state of quality efforts, and team strategy to leadership through conversations, reports, and formal presentations. Anticipate team needs 3-6 months into the future and coordinate team planning accordingly. Coordinate priorities across manual testing, data, and software engineering teams to increase the immediate impact of shared deliverables. Coach and mentor junior team members. Provide feedback to improve the team’s strategic capabilities. Be a trusted member of the product triage team. Help build and foster a Quality mindset and culture on our team, and with our partners.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) software industry or internship experience

OR equivalent experience or capabilities.

You've shipped at least one software project as part of a test or a quality engineering team through multiple product cycles, advocating for your customers throughout.

Preferred Qualifications:

You leverage your experience to regularly identify and create innovative approaches to doing business, and consistently review the efficacy and viability of existing methodologies.

You are proficient at developing and directing test strategies that use multiple methods - including manual testing, data, telemetry, and automation to understand when and how to balance each based-on business needs and priorities.

You're a collaborator, a partner, and a coach who builds trusted relationships and broad networks with curiosity-based influence strategies.

Software Quality Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,400 - $151,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,300 - $165,400 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
