Microsoft’s Business Applications and Platform (BAP) organization creates tools to increase the productivity and satisfaction of business users (sales reps, customer support agents, field technicians, marketers) and make creating apps, websites, bots, and automation easier.In the last year we have started transforming the day-to-day of our users through the introduction of Copilots, which has led to real business impacts: increased productivity for sellers, shorter time to resolve customer support issues, and lower barrier to entry for makers.The BAP Copilot Applied AI team develops platform components that benefit all BAP Copilots in the Dynamics and Power suite. We build different AI technologies together with multiple product teams in the Business Applications space, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Dynamics 365 Sales, and Dynamics 365 Customer Service.We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team.Capabilities shipped in the last several months include: the ability to converse over data using only natural language (we generate the SQL from your words), to generate answers from trusted enterprise knowledge sources, to create content (reports, emails, marketing campaigns), to translate natural language to code, and more. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

1+ years of experience with Azure Devops pipelines and release management lifecycle.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Azure components and services is a plus.

Knowledge of machine learning and ML operational concepts is a plus.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
