Apex is partnering with a large Video Game Enterprise to hire an Accessibility Program Manager. This is a contract role; candidates can work remotely but availability for meetings during PST is preferable.
The gaming accessibility team is responsible for ensuring all products meet compliance standards as well as expanding the understanding of accessibility both internally and externally. The team also focuses on driving accessibility of products in the market that go beyond compliance in order to create a usable and efficient experience for all players and game creators. Job Description:- Manage content updates and drive partner reviews of SharePoint sites, technical documentation, and accessibility training content
- Review accessibility and developer documentation for accuracy and updated content
- Gather resources, content and supporting documentation for accessibility projects including translating requirements into content
- Generate status update mails and follow-ups, with attention to details
- Provide daily support for managing delivery of project tasks, activities, milestones, and resources across several projects.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project requirements, plans, timeline, issues, risks, and challenges.
- Maintains process documentation, supervises task distribution and scheduling of consultations
- Responsible for creating, monitoring, and maintaining quality control of content, including HTML markup
- Organize and facilitate accessibility focused training and education efforts
- 2 hours of planned meetings
- 2 hours of research, managing content, inbox triage, bug tagging, reviews
- 4 hours of heads down
- Bachelor's degree
- Certifications: Trusted Tester, CPACC, PCWA or accessibility user research
