Building Blocks Nursery School is looking for a part-time "float" teacher to help in both classrooms (ages 2-3 and 4-5). This is a part-time position, 12-6pm M-F (hours are somewhat flexible).
Job duties include:
Interact positively with all children to encourage an open and engaging learning environment
Implement curriculum as directed by the lead and assistant teachers
Communicate regularly and respectfully with families
Clean, organize and maintain the classroom
Perform other tasks as assigned/needed
Required Qualifications:
Be a minimum of 18 years of age
Excellent communication skills with children, staff, parents, and administration
Self-starter with strong accountability
Able to routinely kneel, bend, crouch and sit on the floor for extended periods of time
Able to stand, walk and sit on child sized chairs throughout the day
Must meet state licensing requirements for education and additional center/school requirements
